General Overview
This document provides a general overview of the database information that XDOC needs in order to integrate the customer application (“Integrated Application”) using the XDOC pre-built database integration adapter.
The XDOC integration framework uses an interface definition named IContainerProvider to retrieve application data from the Integrated Application.
XDOC includes default implementations of this interface for application data stored in the following types of applications:
- Databases. Supports any database with ADO, OleDb, or ODBC drivers.
- HTTP/XML Service: Supports any application that can return application data in XML format over HTTP(s) invocation
Customers may also provide their own implementations of the IContainerProvider interface if they prefer not to use our built-in adapters, or already have existing application libraries to support the functions.
