What Are Document Categories?

• Logical Groupings: Document Categories group related document types for easier viewing in the Document Viewer.
• Example: The Underwriting category contains all documents relevant to underwriting, helping users quickly locate what they need.

Key Details

• Display:
  • Categories appear under each bucket, shaded in slate color.
  • The number of documents in each category is shown on the far right.
• Fixed Assignment:
  • Unlike buckets, documents cannot be moved between categories.
  • Document Definitions assigned to a category are set by your XDOC Administrator.
• Parent/Child Relationships:
  • An arrow to the left of a category indicates it’s a child category of the one above.
  • Multiple arrows show deeper parent/child nesting.
